An Open Letter to James Cameron

You have the underwater camera tech. You have the means. You have the will.

Screw'em. Last time I looked this was in international waters (beyond the 3 mile limit?). Get out there, have multiple LIVE camera feeds going out from below and on deck of your ships. Show the world just what's really happening.

2. he has been doing stuff with BP and other underwater experts.

Read an interview with him today in WSJ (That was from last weekend) and he mentions that he has all that great stuff and knows people who know how to be down taht deep and deeper, and that they talked to BP and offered assistance, and BP said "Wow! That's great! But we don't need it."

So Cameron's group has been cranking out reports and documents to the government. he didn't say specifically about what, but they sound judgmental and also offering shit that should be done in the future.

But I love the idea of sending down stuff and doing live video feeds. I just wonder if maybe BP has territorial rights in a wide area around their stuff, though. It would make sense.

Of course, if I were Obama, and that was true, and Cameron sent his stuff down anyway and trespassed on BP property, and then BP complained about the trespassing, I'd tell 'em to go stuff themselves.
