Too Hot for Citi Banker: Too Chatty for Chase? (Follow up)
Too Hot for Citi Banker: Too Chatty for Chase?

Too Hot for Citi Banker: Too Chatty for Chase?Hottie banker Debrahlee Lorenzana says Citibank fired her for being too hot. Now, if she doesn't lay off the media appearances, she could be fired from her new job at Chase. Plus! Watch video of hottie banker in action!

"Her body was too hot for Citibank, but her mouth may be too big for Chase," the New York Post reports with a wink, nudge, and yet another gallery of hot Debrahlee pictures, one of which totally shows her nipples. According to Debrahlee, "They said if I kept talking, it was grounds for termination."

The trouble began Thursday at her new job as a personal banker at a Chase branch in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, when stories about her suit against Citibank appeared in the newspapers, she said.

Her boss said Citibank is upset about all the interviews and that the hush order came from CEO Jamie Dimon, the single mom said.

"I said, 'I'm going to speak to the media—this has nothing to do with you.' "

Doubts about whether Jamie Dimon gives a shit about this aside, the most important news to come out of this report is that Debrahlee now works at Williamsburg's Chase bank. Quick, everyone go there and make hot transactions with this hot banker hottie.

1. Most major corporations have rules about speaking to the media about stuff
Since she is involving her bank, that's definately a violation.

8. How does her talking about her suit against another bank involve her
current job?

She's not talking about Chase. She's talking about Citi.

9. Depends on if she's mentioning she works for Chase
I work for a major corporation (that won't be named) and we are forbidden to speak to the media as a representative of our company or involving our company unless it's been cleared by HR.

It actually makes sense. She probably signed a clause like that when and if she is commenting who she works with now then that could be perceived as including Chase when talking to the media.

13. Unless she says something about her work at Chase, she's only talking
about herself. The moment she speaks about her Chase as an entity she crosses the line, but simply saying "I work at Chase now" doesn't. "I work at Chase now, and they'd not do anything like this" does. It's Chase, not the frikking CIA where people aren't supposed to know you even work there. As long as she makes no representation of or for the company they have no right to tell her to shut up.

17. If you signed a clause that said you do not talk about your place of business to the media
Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 02:29 PM by LynneSin
something as simple as "I work for Company X" could be considered a violation of said policy. I know it sounds weird but consider this - anything someone says about a Company could be used against said company. Sometimes that is good if the person is a whistle-blower but sometimes it's just alot of hot air that could be misinterpreted by the wrong person.

Honestly it depends on what you sign when you're hired and where I work everyone down to the person who cleans the bathroom signs a statement saying they will not talk about our company to the media unless pre-approved by the powers-to-be.

4. To the point we agree to when we take the jobs.
It's not "control" if we freely agree to it in order to work for that employer.

10. What world do you live in?
First of all, unless one is a contract employee, a person can be fired at any time, for any reason or for no reason as long as it does not violate Fed. or state (if any) civil rights laws. So there is no agreement. The employer can insist on anything or fire you for noncompliance. Secondly, it's not exactly a free agreement if the choice is between that and starvation. No employer wants employees talking to the press. All this woman is doing is exercising her right to free expression outside the office and she may be black listed for it. It has nothing to do with her job.

No one who can lose her livelihood for frivolous reasons is truly free.

Once the architects and leaders of the revolution (you know, those terrorists that dared to reject the divine right of rule) were dead, the parasites moved in and took over.

12. Maybe in the short term.
Frankly, anything that turns us away from our puritanical horror of anything remotely related to sexuality will only help in the long run.

20. To be honest, if this woman was doing a good job at Citibank her co-workers...
Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 02:39 PM by LynneSin
would have been warned about their behavior and she would still be working there.

I'm guessing this woman probably sucks beyond sucks at her job and wants to blame everyone but herself as to why she was no longer employed at Citibank.

I've been working for well over 20+ years and I've worked with plenty of good-looking gals and guys, many who were way better looking than she is, and they had no problem getting their jobs done and being respected by their co-workers.

I'm guessing Ms Debrahlee has watched too many episodes of of "Jersey Shore" and thinks she has the right to act like an asshole like the kids on that show (many of them aren't even from Jersey - they are from NYC/Long Island).

And I highly doubt that Jamie Dimon knows who this woman is or ever ordered her to shush but perhaps her boss is telling her to STFU and do your damn job instead of promoting yourself.

I put $10 on the fact that this woman will be a centerfold (not Playboy but perhaps Penthouse or Hustler) in about 6 months.

23. And to be honest, we assume from her the co-workers were the issue
I work in the corporate world, trust me we don't stand around treating our co-workers like a piece of meat, no matter how good-looking they are (and again I've worked with some extremely good looking folks in my time).

She really makes me think she's just not a good worker and she wants to blame everyone but herself. Trust me, we have to do the sexual harassment training every year and I work for a major corporation too. You don't mess around with Sexual Harassment, just not worth the effort.

24. this first thread on this, looking at the body language in the pictures
told me there was probably more to the story. if she uses her sexuality at work, it is the same as men using her sexuality at work. wrong. that isnt what the work place is for. one gender isnt allowed a pass and the other gender punished.

i thought about it. i have always worked in male oriented work environments, we never had this problem. that was years ago...

i am not buying it either.

her behavior since then seems to be confirming first impression
