Seriously though, I blame the Dick more for this mess. He was the hands on guy in squashing regulations and paving the way to our current disaster. That's not saying I don't blame little boots too, I'm just a bit more pissed of at the Dick.

Bush knows people in the industry and of course would do whatever they told him to, but he was as clueless as to the the actual going on within the oil industry as he was in running a country. His entire political career was created because the ones who created it knew they could manipulate him. Which they did exceedingly well.

Bush is a greedy, heartless bastard who despises the common person, but he was never smart enough to have come up with, let alone implemented, much of what was done during his administration. Which makes him no less responsible, but it does raise the level of responsibility on a few of those "advising" him.

We've seen how that turned out haven't we? Every industry where regulations were relaxed, not enforced or removed hurt our country and caused financial ruin to millions of Americans. Now because of the Bush/Cheney evil millions more people are being hurt.

I hope someone who is in a leadership position in the democratic party wakes up and capitalizes off of all the carnage caused by conservatives. If they were smart the democratic party would pick up seats instead of losing them. But I haven't seen many smart things come out of democratic leadership. It's obvious the people are not their masters. To many of them corporations and the wealthy own them.
