Will Obama's Inability to Keep Bambi From Dying Cripples His Presidency?

Reporting from The Pentagon — Although the killing of Bambi happened generations ago media and conservative analyst are now chiding Obama for not going back in time and saving the small animal. "...It's disgusting..." lamented house majority leader Boehner, "...we could've already created a time machine and saved that poor thing but the Obama government is too inept!!...". Those in the White House continue to say that Representative Boehner and the rest of the GOP are really too fuckin stupid to be taken seriously and media community should stop listening to them but this story isn't dying. Anonymous sources in the Pentagon say that the White House has inquired about time travel, one source going as far as to say the reasoning was to "shut them the fuck up" about that damn deer. Conservatives aren't the ONLY ones who are being critical about the Obama admins inability to save the fawn. "...Obama promised us hope and change, why can't he change time?" asked one self described liberal poster on Hannity.com. One thing for sure the Obama admin can add saving Bambi to their list of fixes that need to be done in next 45 days or they can kiss their chances for 2012 victory good bye.

had his own preserve just outside of Vienna where he and his buddies hunted red deer. The movie featured a cartoon-type whitetail deer (native to the New World). The book was fairly accurate, biologically speaking. The movie sucked in that regard. Salten died before a sequel could be written for the screen.

Want a far better movie depicting the uneasy relations between humans and what they eat? Try The Yearling. Both movie (1946) and book (1938 Pulitzer) were blockbusters.

The movie is responsible for the so-called "Bambi-confusion" ("Bambi-Irrtum") in German-speaking countries. In the book Bambi is a roe-deer (German: Reh). But since there are no roe-deers in the US, Walt Disney changed Bambi's appearance to that of a white-tailed deer, which in turn is unknown in Europe. However, both the original German-dubbed version from 1950 and the re-dubbing from 1970 stuck to the original Felix Salten version and called Bambi a roe-deer instead of a stag (German: Hirsch), which would be a lot more correct. Since the appearance of Bambi's father and Bambi in adult life resemble a red-deer (which is common in Europe) a lot closer than an adult roe-deer, kids in German-speaking regions for the past 60 years have come to believe that a Reh (roe-deer) is the younger version of a (Rot) Hirsch (Red deer). This confusion has never really been cleared up for many so that this is now even taught to children by their parents who saw the movie when they were young.

Obama is a cuckold or a dumbass to allow BP to override the EPA and try to trust them to act in the general interests on the overall problem. Them having access to the equipment to try and close the hole is one thing (though flimsy since Tony Hayward ain't running remotes or doing engineering either) but safeguarding the environment is a horse of an altogether different color.

If fucking BP are the best protectors of the environment we can find then we mas as well launch the nukes and enjoy the show as well as save ourselves and most life the suffering to come.
