Seriously, they're a combination of straightforward left-wing journal and supermarket celebrity tabloid. While it generally won't make the headline story, check how much of sidebar coverage could come straight out or People, Us or OK!, both in content and tone. Whatever pays the bills, I guess.

Another golfer has come out taking his swings on the Tiger Woods sex scandal.

"The mystique has gone," European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie told BBC Radio Sunday. "The mysterious nature of the guy has gone. He is suddenly more normal now."

Montgomerie is the latest golfer to break the green wall of silence in the wake of Woods' self imposed exile from the sport since his Nov. 27 SUV accident outside his Florida home drew attention to reports of extra-marital affairs with more than a dozen women.

In late December, Helen Alfredsson slammed Woods' cheating - on his wife, and her fellow countrywoman, Elin Nordegren.

"In the quietest water swims the ugliest fish," she told Sweden's TV 4.

"If he just paid for the escorts, I understand it a bit more," she said. "Then no one needed to know. But now he did everything and a girlfriend and everything."

Montgomerie wasn't quite as harsh, saying it would be good for the sport to have its marquee player back on the course.

"It is a shame that this has happened to our iconic sportsman and I say that as a fellow golfer to a player I have admired," Monty told the BBC.
