NBC spent first 10 minutes slamming bush and his cronies...

First was the manipulation on global warming reports and pressuring the scientists, second was Iran and the military doubting the evidence because of WMD in Iraq, and third was the Libby trial. They specifically mentioned that Valerie Plame was working on WMD when she was outed.

2. NBC nightly news has done such programming in the past...

I'm a regular watcher and on several occasions they've been pretty blunt about bush and the WH. They're more balanced than most of them and that's mainly due to Brian Williams and a few others they've got such as David Gregory and Jim Miklaszewski.
