23. No reply ?
In case you hadn't noticed I'm 5 hours ahead of you, just outside London, and I went out dancing. I have no vested interest whatsoever in BP which despite its name is not "British" - just another PLC having been privatized years ago in such a way as to prevent Kuwait from owning it. It is infact currently 39% US owned and I'd say that the great majority of those shares are help by your financial institutions. I actually regard all oil companies and most multinationals, especially your ones, as being complete fucking nuicances.

You had said "All this time, they could be serving time". Who's they out of BP, Transocean and Halliburton ? Hence my question as to which court case you referred.

14. Seems to me..
...that BP might just be trying to influence what the news airs.

The coming pictures and stories, like the just aired oiled birds, are going to fill the news unless the news people decide not to show the truth.

BP is trying to cap not only the well, but cap the news as well.

12. Maybe it is a marketing test to see how really dumb
some people are. I am sure it has been focused grouped before release to maximize the soothing effect
and plant subliminal messages to that purpose. Restoring their brand and market cap are far more important
than protecting our once beautiful gulf and marshlands after all.

13. It was passionless. But then, so is Obama on the oil leak himself.
The NY Times says Obama is coming under fire for his passionless I'm-the-bean-counter-in-chief response to the leak. No one on our side is emotionally worked up to go vote the way the Republicans are and this spells disaster for Democrats in the Fall.

It's the motivated who vote in Midterm elections, not the DLC me-too-ers.

In the words of Harry Truman,

"If you run a Republican against a Republican, the Republican will win every time." The people in the White House are weak, out to lunch and insane to be so middle of the road in a midterm election. It doesn't work. It doesn't motivate anyone on our side.

17. For once, I'm actually happy that the MSNBC stream
cuts the commercials out and instead plays an endless stream of repeating MSNBC promos during the commercial breaks at 10 times the volume of the program itself. It's annoying as fuck, but at least it's not BP ads.
