This is an insult. I'm tired of the scapegoating of teachers in particular and unions in general. And what's worse is that Obama has bought into this crap.

Watch this clip. It's an attack on schools everywhere. How did New Jerseyans ever vote for this guy? Sorry to link hotair.

1. I was at a meeting of Government employees last week
and I was struck and depressed at how many of them buy into the mentality that government employees and particularly unionized government employees are essentially parasites, and they have a duty to keep compensations as low as possible.

2. There is a great deal of "buyers remorse" in Jersey, even among
repubs. This is a very nasty guy...

8. Do you think?
I'm seeing it among friends and family who are teachers, but not a whole host of other places or in other people. Especially not repubs. My impression is that people are happy with his moves. Although the fact that even Schundler is drawing his wrath is saying something.

Even my mostly liberal parents are against teachers unions and they are also pretty heavy duty public school advocates.

I'm hopeful that even people who might be sympathetic to the overall message Christie has, will be turned off by his hateful tactics and his just out and out nasty rhetoric. I mean it's one thing to do the things he's doing and cut the things he's cutting. But to be so outright mean about it is just amazing to me.

10. Granted, most of the people in Jersey I still speak to are Dems. They
really dislike this guy and many are teachers. I suppose if Christie was elected then it does stand to reason the repubs love him. I do think he's a one-termer though..

11. Well when you are a cousin to the Mafia and attend
EVERY SINGLE ONE of their meetings, evil rubs off. Too bad people in New Jersey seem to be as ignorant of the facts as those in AZ.

3. "Parents and children should have a choice."
They do.

Private school with your own money.

Leave taxpayer dollars for public education intact.

5. Welcome to DU.
Neocons only want choice when they don't want to spend their own money.

6. I hate
to admit this, but as a parent I had no idea of what charter schools were all about. They are presented to parents as an option, free and smaller, and better. I feel duped.
