Bush ADMITS Waterboarding, Says HE'D DO IT AGAIN!
" Speaking to a crowd in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wednesday, former president George W. Bush told onlookers that his administration did in fact waterboard alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and suggested that his action saved American lives.

"Yeah, we water-boarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Bush said, according to a local newspaper. "I'd do it again to save lives."

Bush's Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel orally advised the CIA on July 26, 2002, "that the use of waterboarding was" legal, and put it into writing in August of that year.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was captured in March, 2003.

Two psychologists were paid to devise the waterboarding program, which "fake" drowned detainees in an effort to produce vital information. The United States prosecuted Japanese soldiers for doing the same thing after World War II.

7. I don't fucking get it.
What does a guy have to do to get arrested around here?

War crimes are punishable. Torture is a war crime. Waterboarding is torture. None of those statements are ambiguous in any way.

I didn't agree with the Starr Witch-hunt, but Clinton certainly was punished.

Opened up this month's VFW magazine and there was an advertisement for Medals of America, which sells veterans' stuff--ribbons, medals, flags, whatever. I have been their customer, along with several other such companies, for years here and there. But this ad was for dog tags and the pictured tags have Shrub's name on them, with a middle initial "S" instead of "W". This made me FUME (oh, btw, there was another set "John KENNEDY") and I called, "I've been a customer for years, small orders whatever. I have a complaint, not about your products, about an advertisement. I don't want you to agree or disagree with me on the phone, just want you to pass on what I say. I was DISGUSTED to see (Shrub's) name on the tags. This was a man who did everything he could to shirk service and just partied his brains out. Then he got us into this wrong war and even this oil leak can be laid at his feet for taking off the regulations. I don't know whether I'll stop being your customer, the small stuff I buy won't matter anyway. That's all." After a long silence the dude (the ads say that VETERANS are the phone staff) said politely, "Thank you for your comments, sir. I will pass them on."

28. Why is this a surprise?
It's how he governed for eight years. Once that peanut-sized brain of his got set on a track, there was no changing it. The man is incapable of retrospect or any other kind of reflection.
