I've been watching those ROV's working to get the fallen plumbing out of the way and

am awed at the technology involved.
They are working 5000 feet under water, 130 miles out to sea. The different ROV's are controlled by operators on different ships.
And we can watch them work, in living color, from the comfort of out living rooms.
Think about that for a minute.
Never mind the environmental damage for a minute, think about the technology involved here.

Like some of the DOD spinoffs (ex. GPS), hopefully we can put it to more beneficial uses.
