2. I'm thinking it will "affect" his life, not "effect"...More attention to English
grammar and less to politics might be a good thing...

9. What's so funny about a kid making a difference?
Are you that jaded?

11. I'm finding it tough to follow his apparent policy positions
http://www.asherheimermann.org/2010/05/02/no-grinding-policy/

He seems to be pro-grinding, but anti-cleavage.

The “No Grinding” Policy is one of the most controversial topics at Sheboygan South High School.
...
The “No Grinding” Policy has caused many outbreaks in opinions and caused a lot of arguments at South High School.
...
It’s not dirty dancing that is a problem, it’s the girl’s who up to dances showing too much of their breasts. For the love of Pete, you are going to a high school dance – not a Los Angeles Night Club. There is no reason why anybody has to see their teenage tits.

---------------

He's all Kevin Bacon cool on the grinding issue, but I think he needs to run some focus group on the boob subject. That's not a winning position in my view.

4. My daughters best friend ran for school prez last year. Had a campaign website and everything.
She had her own website, twitter feed, Facebook group, YouTube channel...the works. She put an enormous amount of work into it, and some real money as well, for professionally printed flyer's

She lost to a jock whose entire campaign amounted to putting up three handmade poster boards.

Some kids get really into campaigning nowadays, but I really don't think it makes much difference at that level (yet).

13. LOL
I graduated high school about 10 years ago.

Looks like things haven't changed. Although back then I was the type to not even vote as I was probably off campus somewhere having a good time :smoke:

6. I lost a 50 point lead in a three way race because I missed a sit in
because I was in a triangulation meeting that I didn't think I could reschedule and then put the nail in by overcompensating with a fire and brimstone speech.

Optics matter.
