Can Anyone Speak To The Differences Between Road Runner vs. Verizon Fios?
Have road runner and am thinking of switching as I can get a deal that would cut phone/cable bill in half. Is one better than the other? Is DSL as good? All comments/experiences welcomed. Thanks.

1. RR sucks ass
We had Comcast then when TW took over the Internet changed to Road Runner. It was terrible from day one. Constantly dropping us and customer service was shit as well. We changed a few weeks ago to Fios and it is worlds better. The guide is a bit odd and hard to get used to but all in all it's much better.

3. I had the comcast version of RR and now DSL - my DSL is faster.
I just recently switch because my Comcast broadband internet and phone was getting to the point where it was having problems constantly and Comcast could not seem to get it fixed.

I now have Bellsouth 6meg DSL for internet (my broadband was 6 too) and paid for the one price unlimited local and long distance package. I'm spending about the same amount of money as I was before but the service is lightyears better.

4. Go to www.broadbandreports.com
They have a comprehensive review of service providers broken down by area and company as well as sections for speed tests, graphed data regarding the speed of various providers and in depth customer support reviews by users in the trenches. It's the best place on the web to find and rate a broadband ISP.

5. That Was Helpful
Thanks. Actually, both seem to be equal, happy and unhappy for both, in pretty equal numbers.

9. Isn't FIOS like, way, way faster than cable?
That is my impression, anyway.
