to cleanup efforts. NOW! And we should demand they do this. NOW! I don't care if some of these jackasses need them for campaigns. It is the least they should do, particularly if they were instrumental in deregulating the petroleum industry.

Edited to add: Make that the past decade.

1. Any candidate who accepted donations from BP within the past decade
should be tossed out.

It's time that we the people show them we mean business.

2. Granted, but it sure would be a quick way to drain the swamp if
we pushed these legislators to get rid of their illgotten gains...finance industry would be a good one to include in such a demand. Let the people chose who does business in our nation.

4. you'd be draining the swamp but you'd still have money grubbing gators left
Do you really think they won't figure out a way *around* getting money from the *official* bad guys? Tossing them OUT will teach the next generation that we.don't.tolerate.shit anymore from politicians.

I am sure one could be found at OpenSecrets but I am not doing it. I am too new to be pissing anyone off who might have a favorite politician on the list.

7. By "donations from BP" you're including individual employees'
donations who contributed their money because they believed in Obama.

Obama isn't letting these guys off the hook, regardless of contributions, so what purpose would this serve? BP is responsible for paying the bills, and I honestly believe Obama will hold them to it.
