Barbie comments land MN mom in 'Tonight Show' monologue

BURBANK, Calif. -- Andie Whitaker's goal was to make a point.

She ended up in Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" monologue instead.

Whitaker talked to KARE 11 reporter Kyle Porter last week about a new Barbie that is causing a bit of controversy. The doll in question comes with a low cut black dress that shows off a generous supply of her Barbie-type cleavage.

"I doubt my daughter will have it, and I don't want her to think she has to be a busty Barbie who's constantly wearing heels in low cut shirts," Whitaker told Porter when asked about the doll.

But Leno and his writers thought something else was noticeable about the interview, and it involved Whitaker's attire.

"Isn't that the same outfit?" Leno asked, while the audience howled at a side by side picture of Whitaker and the doll. "Isn't she wearing the same dress?"

4. LOL. And her blog is all "OMG, I was on Jay Leno! Look how famous I am!!"
Instead of "holy shit, I was exposed on national TV as an incredible hypocrite".

5. I just love when hypocrisy is exposed, even if it is Leno doing it.
Sorry Andie, but you've been hoisted by your own brassiere.

6. I do think that girls shouldn't be encouraged to
think being busty is the way to look. I think a lot of girls can look sexy and very pretty with out all that low cut cleavage showing. BUT if that is something they want to do, go for it.
