Crazy KS Gov Candidate Joan Heffington Won't Disavow Westboro, Claims Bush Tried to Kill Her
This is incredible...this woman is nuts. She is running for Governor in Kansas, here is her website: http://www.joanheffington.com/

She starts off claiming she's not that familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church, then refuses to disavow them. Then she goes on to say we need BIBLICAL REASONING for any law we pass, and should repeal laws otherwise. Then she claims to have NO IDEA that her running mate for Lt. Gov. is happy about the killing of Dr. George Tiller, another Kansas story. Then to top it off, the host brings up her frivolous lawsuits, including one where she claims George W. Bush conspired to kill her and her husband.

This interview starts at 33:10 into the podcast...incredible.

2. Yeah
Surprisingly many people have, even though I assume she stands no chance of winning.

4. She has an "Orly" look to her. If she had blonde hair could be at
the very least a cousin/sister.

5. Well, some think poppy killed JFK and nearly Reagan
If he could pull that off, I doubt his son could be so stupid to botch someone no one ever heard of. Oh wait, we're talking about Jr...

6. Fred's coming to Oregon
on Friday, to protest at some synagogues and local high schools, or if not Fred, then some of his flying monkeys. I'm taking Tom Hartmann's suggestion and taking a banner that says "God hates figs". Reference is from Matthew somewhere.

7. Interesting comment
I'm the interviewer on the show, and Shirley Phelps-Roper actually called me a "bad fig" during an old interview

Off the cuff, I'd guess she poses no threat to Brownback in the Repub primary. But I gotta wonder if somebody on Brownbeck's team talked her into running, in hopes that she'd make Brownback look like a moderate centrist

The crazies seem to be coming out of the woodwork from coast to coast. And the crazier people are the ones voting for them.
