Two "amusing" political dental practice stories:

1. So it's the first thing in the morning, and I have a new patient from Minnesota so I say to her, to make conversation while the radiograph is going thru the developer, "You're from an interesting state: you have both Al Franken and Michelle Bachmann." The patient's reply, "Well, I'm from more of the Bachmann crowd." Oh well, all done discussing anything but teeth with this one...

2. I treat this Doc who's the closest person I know to a Lefty anarchist. He told me that "When I went to vote..." I cut him off, laughing, "You went to VOTE? I mean, they actually let you in there? Wow, so much for Homeland Security!" He laughed, and said that he was thinking of me when he voted because he knew that among all these awful choices that I would have an irrational opinion for why each needed to be voted for. Weirdly, he voted the 'correct' way all down the line. I told him, "You're moving hard right, soon, you'll be a Commie, and then who knows from there." Brilliant guy, funny, but you would have to measure his distance from the center in scientific notation.
