'Top Kill' - What A Name For A Disaster Movie.......

I'm sure that someone is putting together a screen play right now for this. This oil gusher has all the makings of a formulaic disaster movie. Explosion. Fire. Survivors rescued on the Gulf. Environmental destruction. Gusher in deep water that can't be plugged. Potential for global calamity. Politics. Money. Environmentalists vs Big Business. Villain's and Hero's. A President's legacy in question.

Think of the movies about asteroids hitting the earth. Floods engulfing the planet. Volcano's and Earthquakes.

And stereotypical lines like - "we've tried everything to stop this - we have just one shot left at saving us." or "if we don't do it right it will worsen and blow".

Think of all the behind the scenes dialogue we would be privy to in the movie.

"Top Kill" - catch it as it unfolds right before our eyes.

This is 'reality infotainment'(and I use that term loosely)at its best.

Let's hope and pray that this attempt at plugging the gusher works.
