This place is a very hard habit to break and I must admit there I times I want to break it.

Well---I tried to quit a couple of times and even posted up one of those corny goodbye letters. I almost had it licked---kept from posting for about 2 months---but the DU's set in and I broke under pressure.

I think the secret is to never ever lurk when trying to quit.... some knucklehead will get your dander up and ya just gotta reply.

Nope---it's got to be a kamikaze type action---something so egregious that there's no way the Admin can let it go and then BAM--- you're worm dirt.

Will I go out that way... Nah... I'll be 95 years old and still post in this God Forsaken place.

35. I really have a problem with most of the posters that yell

over the slightest thing that Obama does (or hasn't doe yesterday)...or really anything that goes on for daily events.

Governing is extremely hard, and I understand that there is no magic wand. It doesn't exist. The present oils disaster is a perfect example of this. I have a few people screaming at me since I haven't condemned Obama but have at least tried to play the devil's advocate.

Not only is there no pleasing people, but it appears that DU would be happier if the Republicans were in charge again: which would give everybody here a common enemy.

I've had to step away a few times, but this place is my home on the net. It's impossible to quit, nor would I want to. Even the long-timers I disagree with (ok, hate) make some good points some of the time. (Most of them.) When I get to the point I'm about to kamikaze out, I just put the offending poster on ignore. Which redirects all the pain and anger away from the DU community and back at the DINOs and Big Business, where it belongs. :)
