How I think the Bush Administration will ultimately solve the problem that is the Iraq War
Edited on Mon May-07-07 02:22 PM by ck4829
Something along the lines of "Iraq, what's that? We've never heard of this 'Iraq' before! Are you sure that this supposed nation is not just a fabrication courtesy of the Michael Moore wing of the Democrat Party?"

2. We've never been at war with Iraq. We didn't even know it existed.
We've always been at peace with Iraq, our strongest ally.

5. Exactly
He'll leave the mess (what an understatement) when he leaves office ... never having lost a night's sleep over the hell he has unleashed ... he'll never lose a night's sleep over this in the future.

Sociopaths don't "suffer" the emotions necessary to feel accountable.

8. Actually it will be cast as the democrats' fault, ...

after civil war ravages Iraq when the 'democrats underfunding' requires with drawl. The cry will be, 'the democrats voted to allow the invasion then lacked the political courage to stay the course and provide the funding to win the war'. It will be trumpeted loud and often, sound bited with Rovian precision into the revisionist history that lingers in the memories of the electorate at large.

After the general public has forgotten they overwhelmingly backed this war, they now think it best to withdraw the troops. Then the general public will again forget the prevailing opinion was to bring the troops home, after the horrific ethnic cleansing civil war rages. They will need someone to blame, and it will be the indecisive democrats who lack the strong leadership qualities the republicans trumpet. Rove and talk radio always wins this battle.

One can hope it will be different, but history is often spun dizzy, when a fresh agenda is desired. And, the electorate's memory of history is about two weeks, and always ripe for individual 'feel good' revision.

9. The Bushistas will not solve the 'problem' of the Iraq War, ...
because they don't think that it's a problem. Bad press and angry public opinion are their problems, but not the war. The Iraq War is to them an asset, serving their goals: control over oil and, closely related, military bases in a strategic region.
