Oh those horrible thugs at the IRS!!!!
They sent me a notice saying that I made an omission on my tax return and, get this:

my refund will be $400 higher than I had figured.

It seems that I mistakenly thought that I did not qualify for the Making Work Pay tax credit, but in fact I did qualify, and the agent that processed my return noticed this and credited me with an extra $400 to my refund.

Under the leadership of President Obama, my taxes were $800 lower this year; $400 less withheld from my paycheck in 2009 and another $400 from this tax credit.

I'm going to celebrate by having some TEA.

2. Yipee!
We did better this year, too. Funny how that is, under a "tax and spend" liberal who taxes us enough already.

:eyes:

4. we got our $8,000 1st-time home buyer credit
Bought the house in December, submitted the paperwork right away, just got the check 2 weeks ago. They gave us an extra $300+ in interest :) We used the money to furnish the house (furniture from NC, handmade cherry table from PA).
