Do you agree with Rand Paul that President Obama is being too tough on BP?

4. First of all it isn't a scientific poll. However, I have heard that there are polls out there
that show over 50% support the arizona racist law for profiling, and that is also disturbing, and indicates just how ignorant a lot of people are

Really indirect way of calling Obama Un-American.

8. As others have responded, 86-14 is a huge, overwhelming majority
Those 14% who said yes could have said so for any number of reasons, none of which have to do with anything particularly relevant to the question. Certainly, many of them are certain to have simply misunderstood the question.

10. OK, what happened to the other 14% who usually show up in these polls?
It seems as though it's usually around 28% of people who respond in an inane manner such as Bush's approval rating.

That means that either Paul was that far out of line (and out of touch with reality) or the other people who make up the 28% just aren't paying attention to current events.

It must be interesting to be in that 14% group. Scary...but interesting.

15. Ah yes, the (R) way of doing things.
As usual, they're trying to preach unity through insanity.

I wish that I could say that at least the TP'ers are there and not around here. However, this area is infested with them also. That must be why this area has the nickname of "Pennsyltucky".

Actually, this area has had that tag for as long as I can remember.

I mean no disrespect for the DU'ers from Kentucky.

18. Thank you for not taking it personally.
Right now I'm worried that Pat Toomey will beat Joe Sestak in the Senate race this fall.

Just what PA needs, a Santorum clone after we finally got rid of the original.

Here's hoping that this trend continues.

From TPM:

The new Rasmussen poll of the Pennsylvania Senate race shows Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak jumping into the lead over Republican former Rep. Pat Toomey, in the wake of Sestak's upset victory over incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter in Tuesday's Democratic primary.

The numbers: Sestak 46%, Toomey 42%. The poll of likely voters has a ±4.5% margin of error. Two weeks ago, Rasmussen had Toomey edging out Sestak by 42%-40%, and also had Toomey leading Specter by a much wider 50%-38%. The TPM Poll Average, composed entirely of pre-primary data except for this new survey, has Toomey ahead of Sestak by 39.6%-37.7%, with Sestak clearly gaining since March.

19. I think Sestak's attacks on Toomey's Wall Street past might
work.

BTW, Rassmussen tends to favor republicans.

Respondents self-select. There is no control.

Ignore it. It means nothing.

Auto-Unrec for getting wound up over a silly Internet "poll".

What I wanted to point out that 14% sided with BP and Paul.

Maybe 1 person in 7 who responded to the poll intentionally gave the "wrong" answer just to be ornery, and piss off people like you who think the result should have some significance.

It doesn't matter.

21. But 88 to 12% has some validity. Maybe the real numbers are 70/30, but
it does show there is some unhappiness with Paul's statements. If the numbers were 55/45 I'd say it was inconclusive because of it being freeped or people giving erroneous answers.
