http://washingtontimes.com/national/20070506-104026-6783r.htm

<snip>A poll released yesterday by Rasmussen Reports found 38 percent of voters approving of President Bush's job performance, with 60 percent expressing disapproval. Mr. Bush retains a 76 percent approval rating from Republicans, making it far more challenging for Republicans in Congress to break with the White House.

5. 10 is their minimum fudge. They often go higher. You get used to normalizing their numbers
internally. Doesn't do much for their credibility, such as it is.

6. Haven't figured out whether Rasmussen is biased or just unreliable
The nicest way I can put this is that Gallup, Rasmussen, Zogby and a few other polls don't correspond too often. That's why I have my Rasmussen abacus. I know how many balls to move to the right side.

7. I always look at Rasmussen polls and subtract 5 to 7 points.
Since their polling is averaged over 3 days, it can be helpful in spotting a trend even if you don't feel like the numbers reported are necessarily correct.
