Michael Steele plays dumb, claims to have only "heard something" about Rand Paul and civil rights
From: http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/2010/05/michael-steele-i-heard-something-about-rand-pauls-civil-rights-act-sentiments.html

----

Republican U.S. Senate nominee Rand Paul of Kentucky caused a national blow-up when he equivocated on whether or not he supported that Civil Rights Act and its prohibition on private businesses from discriminating. So naturally we wondered what RNC Chairman Michael Steele thought of Paul's musings. He was in town to tout the 2012 GOP convention in Tampa.

"I heard something to that effect when I got off the plane and have not really focused on what exactly what was said, except to the extent that I understand that he has clarified his voice on that," Steele said.

<...>

"I’m sure that the nominee for the Senate from Kentucky is out there right now making sure that everyone knows where he stands, and I think he stands with the party on that issue, in supporting not only the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and all efforts by leadership to promote opportunities for people, regardless of race creed, color or background."

---
Dream on, Michael

2. Poor dumb bastard.
I could almost feel sorry for Steele's uphill battle.

How many times in a day can you throw your head on your desk or palm to face?

But since his battle is evil, fuck him.

Then escorted the guests to the study and to the real master of the house....
The Butler has a nice room in the mansion gets good food, an expense account and other privileges

I do almost feel sorry for him,
Cauvto on Fox said everyone hates you and he just stood there and took it.

5. republicans do this all the time.
"I haven't read the article, so I can't comment."

"I haven't read the bill, so I can't comment."

"I didn't see the interview, so I can't comment."

"I have not really focused on what exactly what was said."

It's an old trick, but like most republican tricks, it seems to work. I guess that's why they keep doing it.

6. Michael Steele "plays" dumb?
Right there you've got a circular logic sort of thing going on ... only in this case it is circular stupidity.

Michael Steele plays dumb because Michael Steele is dumb.
