Did anyone notice the markets sort of down today?
 I get home and am searching around but don't seem to find much. Was it a reaction to the Senate passing Financial reform. I don't have cable btw.

3. It's a combination of things ...

...but then the market reacts to farts in the wind, so who knows exactly.

4. Saw a piece on PBS. The Markets are in an anxiety attack over
the situation in Greece and Europe. Sounds as if they
fear Europe is on the brink.

Plus, the Market is in process of making a correction
The MKT had been climbing and was reaching that point
at which it no longer coincides with what is going on
in the country. Eventually Wall St and Main Sreet have
to waltz together. Wall Street has misread earlier
economic signs and predicted the country would be doing
better than it is. Whoops better, settle down here at
lower place. Hope this makes sense

The two things--Worries over Europe and our own Domestic
situation created the lower market today.-

5. Clearly a reaction to the Lindsey Lohan arrest news.
If ANYBODY knew why the markets go up and down when they do, they could PREDICT when the markets went up and down and make a killing. Yet news headline writers pretend they know "DOW falls on ________." and they fill in the blank with any piece of BS they feel like, and everybody gobbles it up like it's the gospel truth.

6. Sort of?
Hell, they tanked. Glad I got my gambling money out of Ford and Microsoft the day before. Took a loss on the MSFT, but I didn't own more than a tiny bit, and made a nice profit on the Ford, since I bought it when it was less than two bucks a share. Again, I only put down as much money as I'd be willing to lose on a Super Bowl pool, so I didn't make enough to become independently wealthy.

The markets are going to tank big time when the Greek thing totally blows up, it's only a matter of time when that happens.
