3. Misspeak my ass. he lied repeatedly about his status as a combat vet even in
printed materials. There's no excuse.

When are y'all gonna stop placing politicians on the list for beatification?

Even the half decent ones I wouldn't trust alone in a room with the family silver.

So will listen to music.

Doors Touch Me.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PECk9A-07Pw

Yeah! Come on, come on, come on, come on
Now touch me, baby
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that you made?
Now, I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky for you and I

Come on, come on, come on, come on
Now touch me, baby
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that you made?

Light My Fire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flOvM4Z355A

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire

Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire

Peter Frampton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7rFYbMhcG8

Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand
Whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?
Must have been a dream I dont believe where Ive been
Come on - you wanna do it again?
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?
My friend got busted just the other day
They said dont walk, dont walk, dont walk away
He drove into a taxi bent the boot hit the back
Had to play some music otherwise hed crack
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?

Champagne for breakfast and a sherman in my hand
Blue top, Silver tails - never fails
Must have been a dream I dont believe where Ive been
Come on - you wanna do it again?
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?

That is a wow thought when thinking on that song for me, but a long story.

23. Blumenthal lied about being a Vietnam combat vet.
He got several deferments, then hid out in the Reserves. He also said he was captain of the swimming team in college, but he wasn't even on the team.

9. I am also a Vietnam era vet ...
I served my entire time in the Air Force stateside in the Air Defense Command and am very careful to mention this fact when I describe my history. I am proud of my service, but I have great respect and admiration for those who served "in country" (Vietnam).

Drafted into the Army in 1969. But I got lucky. They sent me to South Korea, not Vietnam.

I never went west of Chicago while I was in the navy. I would never try to give anyone the impression that I was a Vietnam vet and I am always careful to explain the difference.

either way makes him unfit to serve. Or it should in this instance.

14. Most likely they are not talking about Vietnam
Edited on Tue May-18-10 06:29 PM by RandomThoughts
But talking about corporate ideology. By saying he was not in Vietnam, they are probably saying he is not far right corporate. Since that was part of the economic cold war of ideologies.

The reason they make much talk about that point, but ignored Bush and Cheney.

They are just thinking about trying to protect status quo. I don't know about that candidate positions, but I would guess he is not pro corporate enough for them, and they are trying to flex muscle. But that shows what they are.

20. I can't stand those who lie about being vets
Especially if they imply combat duty. I hate to say it but this lying bastard should quit political life and give back every cent he has received in political contributions. B*sh is an AWAL deserter but he's theirs. This liar is ours and needs to be purged if he won't do the right thing. Send him to political Hell!

Amazing. Democrats who DID serve are tarred and feathered as unpatriotic and republicans who were granted multiple deferments are the heroes?
