1. That;s pretty cool...
I might feel a bit claustrophobic, but who knows.

I stayed in a tiny little cabin last autumn while working on a cider mill. Three bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, and living room.. smaller than a trailer, and decorated to look like a miniature house. Wasn't so bad, actually.

2. It would probably be just as easy to do it with 800 sq.ft. as it
would the 300 sq. ft. in the video. I like the idea of the house "moving" to meet my needs.

5. I could live with all of that, except the kitchen - no walkable bakeries, nor restaurants in the
suburbs and that kitchen didn't appear to really be about food.

7. From what I understand
Hong Kong, like Tokyo, is a restaurant town. People go out to do any serious eating.

12. Not on the same scale, but I just came back from 2 weeks in Portland, OR - Same thing. There's a
different set of economic assumptions that end up supporting smaller businesses more (and also things such as neighborhood parks everywhere, something else that would make this design concept more popular).

Portland is definitely a restaurant city too and in the various neighborhoods of the city proper you can walk to anyone of several so the competition is high enough that you can get an **absolutely wonderful** dinner for 4, with drinks, for about $70.00 (and that evaluation comes from someone who, though I don't cook for myself much, belongs to a huge family of doting Fodies).

10. I think so too and also forwarded it. I still don't understand how
you would wire movable walls though.

11. That's what I was thinking
how do you get wires to move with the walls?

Unless you've got all the extra wiring in the ceiling.
