Uttered by Joe Scarborough this morning as he quoted AP/GfK poll and apparently has his Repubs are going to be masters of the universe train derailed this morning. Commiserating that perhaps the economy IS getting better.

2. The Main Stream Media has been predicting a Republican win in the mid-terms since the inauguration
In November, when we actually gain seats in the House, the media will be stood up on its ear. The 'no second term for President Obama' shills will be out in full force after the November elections. They will be shown wrong again too

21. I tend to agree with you, BUT, I think the polls are showing that voters
also clearly see what's going on with the Party of No. Republicans have no clue what to do and voters are seeing that day in and day out.

I try to take the long view but sometimes, in cases of extreme disasters like the economic meltdown of late 2007 and this current oil spill, it's hard to do.

35. And this is our problem! I get that. What I do think, however, is that we are better
off with Barack Obama as President as we would be with John McCain. Do you not agree?

I mean, with OBama we have all kinds of good legislation but with
MCcain we'd have really awful legislation...so what is the contrast, really? We should always hold out for the perfect, I agree and fight like hell for it!

When you go thru the list of things that will be better with a Dem you see how beneficial even a flawed Dem president can be. It's not bad. It just IS. Accept that you (and I) will have to accept less than what we accept.
But the alteranitive is MUCH WORSE!

So what are we left with? You decide...

13. Oh, Joe. So sad. Will the realization that you are really just a pathetic,
right wing hypocrite that really doesn't matter one way or the other ever hit you?

You think you're important. (You're not.)

You think what you say means something to others. (It doesn't.)

You are arrogant and you have absolutely no reason to be.

You are not exceptionally smart, handsome, quick witted, or talented.

Why are you even on TV? (It's your guests people want to see, not you.)

In their minds a "people's revolt" sells. Something Joe, Chris, and many others have been pushing for from day one. Watch how quickly the above mentioned poll results disappear. Tomorrow we will hear all day about the continued revolt.

22. Guess He Hasn't Been Reading The Polls That Show Rushpublicans are Still Dogcrap
Supposedly more people consider themselves "conservative" than rushpublican. The party's congressional poll numbers have been in the 20s for years and haven't moved much in this "rushpublican resurgence".

As I've said on many occasions, the GOOP had been too busy reading their own press clippings. Predictions of winning 100 seats in the House and control of the Senate was a pipe dream short of a total Democratic party implosion. Maybe Joey is starting to realize that his teabagger buddies could be the turd in his party's punchbowl as they either hijack the party and drive it off the political abyss or the "establishment" candidates win and the teabaggers decide to stay home.

Methinks the GOOP has protested too much...a majority are getting tired of their harping and obstruction with little to offer in return. Actually I hope they haven't gotten this message as they continue to shadow box with their own.

24. "But everyone in my exclusive club says...."

This is like the folks at teabagger rallies who go on about how "government isn't listening to 'we the people'" because they don't happen to constitute a majority view and only associate with their own kind.

The same goes for people here who think a "national strike" day is a wildly popular idea that is just around the corner.

31. I think that a "national strike" day.................
is closer than a Republican takeover of Congress.

You DO make a great point about the insular nature of the teabaggers and other fringe righties though. I've seen it for YEARS now. These guys were crowing about how "everybody" was on their side when they were winning/stealing elections by one and two %. I'd always ask "How does a 1% victory in a contested election count as a massive mandate?" They never had an answer except "We won. Get over it."

And that's because they only got info from their little insular group. Of COURSE their white only good ole boys clubs thought the same as them, ergo (in their minds) that WAS everybody.

36. Tons of reasons IMO
Financial reform and the oil spill reminded people that the GOP always sides with big business first.

The economy is turning around, jobs aren't being created en masse but the losses have stopped

Health reform proved the dems can get stuff done, now people see the GOP lies were all just histrionics
