This just gets sadder by the moment. And the worst part is that the trained seals in her audience continue to lap it up and keeep flappin' their flippers. The only thing that's going to stop this woman is a brighter, shinier object to wave back and forth in front of the simple children she calls her "base."

The Republicans grabbed onto Fred Thompson in 2008 and tried to turn him into the perfect "conservative Republican" dashboard Jesus, but Fred didn't really WANT it. He fel asleep at campiagn appearances, he put progressively less and less effort into campaigning in general.

Palin, on the other hand, won't shut up for five minutes...and I don't see a single trace of fatigue in the "base." They get pissed off for five minutes when she does something like back Carly Fiorina, but they also unanimously and almost instantaneously forgive her and go right back to the lipstick pitbull love-fest.

Somewhere in all of this, her Karma awaits...that one irreversible fuck-up that will flip the switch on her inevitable downward spiral. I hope it comes sooner rather than later.

The bloggers up here have been doing everything they can to expose her skeletons, but she's got that Reagan-like Teflon thing going on that I just don't understand. 10. Well now, that could be entertaining

Am I correct in assuming Palin plans to get a couple dozen grizzly bears and turn them loose in Congress? If so, it seems the Republicans would be more in danger than the Democrats. They eat fatty foods, drink heavily and sit on their asses bloviating about how eeeeeeeeeeevul the Democrats are, hence failing to get the exercise they need. Republicans would therefore be tasty, tender and juicy, as well as being easier to catch. Democrats eat a diet consisting exclusively of sprouts, arugula and granola, drink nothing but French mountain spring water and ride to work on their handmade Italian racing cycles, which makes them wiry, tough and flavorless.

So..fuck it, let the mama grizzlies go into Congress and clean it out. It might be nice if we were able to have a simple up-and-down vote on things like paying the Congressional electric bill without having to add anti-abortion language to it.
