Why I think the GOP moved the 2012 convention to Tampa
OK folks, I will admit I am putting on my Tinfoil hat here for a bit, but if you read on, I honestly think we will find some information about how the GOP plans to attack in 2012.

First off, let me give you a primer, Jeb Bush, despite leaving office, is still very much the force behind the Florida GOP. Also, as anyone who has seen W. knows, he wants to be the President. He is not going to live the rest of his life in the shadow of his Drunken, dull-witted brother. Of course, he also knows that if he was to openly set sail for the 2012 election, the media would pile on, as well as the many GOP power brokers who are scared of Jeb Bush running (more on this point later.)

So, in 2012, the Florida Senate election will have one of three outcomes, all ofn which heavily favor Bush.

1) Charlie Crist wins. This may seem like a loss, but the fact Crist is running has gotten the GOP base angry. They were already angry that Crist was willing to open up for Oil drilling back when he wanted to be McCain's V.P. choice. The fact that many normal G.O.P types are favoring Crist has got the right wing base lathered up, especially since they know the so called "moderates" are leaving because they are scared of the teabaggers. In other words, if Crist wins, the teabaggers will pretty much go "oh Yeah?, we'll show YOU who the power is in this state!" It sure helps that if Crist wins, a Cuban (rubio) will have been passed up, especially since the Cubans are VERY active poltically in this state. Remember that in 2000, they were the ones ready to break skulls of those counting the votes. If Crist wins, the GOP Cubans willbe out for Blood, and yes, I do mean that literally.

2) Marco Rubio wins. Here, Jeb rules triumphant, because he and the teabaggers will pretty much be able to cut Charlie's head off, put it on a stick, and march down Kennedy Boulevard (Downtown Tampa) saying "this is what happens to all that get in our way!"

3) Kendrick Meek wins. Oh boy, another African American in power, in an election he was supposed tolose, an election his own party pretty much gave up on because they were too busy trying to get Alex Sink on the Governor's mansion. While this is the least likely scenario, it means that the base will be ready for war.

Wait a minute, you say, Jeb is not even running yet? Ha ha, granted Palin attracts all the attention, but the GOP knows that it would be too easy for the Democrats to take her down in an election. Even the extreme radical left wing, the ones that would gladly throw Obama in jail for war crimes and install Dennis Kucinich as President for life, even they would shudder at the thought of President Palin. So, in comes Jeb, acting as a Messiah, to save the party from itself. He will probably even throw a few jabs at his brtoher and Dick Cheney, to show how "distant" he is from them.

Now, I have not even touched on the Governor's race. Alex Sink may be a good candidate, but sadly, due to the fact she is a bank executive, she can be dismantled easily. That leaves Bill McCollum, the attorney general that is suing the federal Government to rule that Obamacare is against the Constitution, and Rick Scott, a former Health care executive found to have committed over one million dollars worth of medicare fraud. I have news for you, unless Anthony Shriver runs, we will have a GOP governor, and more importantly, a GOP governor that made their case by going against Obama and his health care plan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_gubernatorial_election,_2010

Now, everything I have lay before you is based on facts you can look up, however, Florida also presents a lot of "X" factors Jeb can also use. After all, Florida is a bastion of angry PUMA voters. No, by that term, I do not mean everyone that voted Hillary, I mean people who still are angry, and are still vocal about it. You also have the Nader Greens, the people who are still yelling "We did not cause Bush to get into the White House!" Both of these factions might mug nicely for the Cameras that will be in Tampa, they certainly call the talk radio shows on a regular basis. Oh, let's not forget one of Florida's more famous residents, Rush himself, who can certainly drive a few hours up north to lather up crowds. Last, but far from least, the fact that Tampa is a city on that talked about "i-4" corridor. Simply put, The North part of the state is still Dixie, and votes as such, Miami, for all the attempts of Cubans to control it, has many black and other Hispanic voters that make it blue, guess who are the squishy moderates?, the same St. Pete/Tampa area that produced the new "moderate" golden boy, Charlie Crist. The fact Florida went blue in 2004 was because Tampa Bay leaned a little bluer that year, thanks to the economy tanking, the GOP wants to make this area the solid red it once was, because then, if they can take Florida and keep it red, you basicaly have another, slightly smaller version of Texas, complete with Yahoos, Oil wells, and enough electroal votes already in the bag that the Presidential election will be decided at the next GOP national convention.

1. Makes sense. Plus, the delegates can all shout "Drill Baby, Drill" & go to the beach with shovels
to do cleanup work.

7. The GOPers know Florida is "huge". FL elections will have major implications..
both state and nation wide and its very likely FL will once again decide the POTUS in 2012.

10. Aye
and sadly, the Florida Demcoratic party is pathetic. If they try to pull another "moved primary" I will advocate throwing them all into the sea, save for Alan Grayson.
