Somebody needs to tell her she isn't 7 years old any more. (And she never was a doll from the turn of the century, although she tries to dress like one.) I think Jan's purple hair was inspired by Mrs. Slocum (Are You Being Served?)

Tammy Faye Bakker (bless her heart!) was downright conservative in appearance comparted to Jan...and that voice! AH!! MY EARS, MY EARS!!!

6. I remember the only time I watched her show - she gave barbie dolls to children in an African Hosp.

I know Jan meant well but it just seemed out of bizarro world. Watching that on TV was like passing a trainwreck. You know you shouldn't watch but you just can't turn away.

The Crouches were visiting a hospital somewhere in Africa. The boys got toy trucks which I suppose was a suitable gift even though the trucks weren't a good gift for some of the infants. But all the girls received a barbie doll and well something just didn't seem normal with that. Here is a hospital filled with children of color and this crazy white lady is giving them a white barbie doll. I mean first, just like with the boys she was giving barbie dolls to all the girls including infants but seriously, couldn't she have found a barbie doll that the girls could relate to?

9. The whole thing about them is just nauseating.

That television set with the big, white staircase coming down from the heavens. The red carpeting. His polyester suits that really don't fit very well. Her big "Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke" purple hair-do, the creepy baby-like voice, it's all just so...strange.

And when she starts crying while telling a story! :puke:

But people send them money, and just like every other evangelist it seems, they live awfully well because God wants them to. :eyes:
