Yet another striking example of the eliminationist rhetoric coming out of Republican leadership--this time, courtesy of Brad Goehring, who is challenging Jerry McNerney in CA-11. From his Facebook page:

“If I could issue hunting permits, I would officially declare today opening day for liberals. The season would extend through November 2 and have no limits on how many taken as we desperately need to “thin” the herd.”

Well, that's an entirely different way of purging the voters rolls, don't you think? The inappropriateness of this remark really needs no further commentary.

In all seriousness though--don't you think someone named Goehring would want to be a little more careful about advocating politically motivated mass murder? Just a thought.

I have never understood people who will make a comment threatening someone or a group. I learned to survive in some very tough situations by taking someone at their word if they threatened to harm me. I take the safety of my family and myself very seriously as many do. I think he would be very surprised that hunting liberals would be much different than hunting defenseless animals.
