Scroogle is back up. For those who don't know, ScroogleSSL allows you to search without having your
information and activities added into Google's database. It is something you can add to your search engine in several web browsers. See http://scroogle.org/ and click whatever you use to find the add-on you need.

Google had eliminated the web code that allowed Scroogle to present the top 100 links (without ads) and all the rest, thus breaking Scroogle and rendering it useless, To its credit, after about a day, Google put that code back in, and Scroogle again works for those who think adding less info to corporate monitoring and databases is preferable to adding more.

.COM takes you somewhere else...and might be less than safe for your searching needs...

4. Yep, there are bloodsucking monsters all around the net.
scroogle.org provides one way to evade them.

6. I almost made that mistake in my Digital Arts class while we were discussing Google
and its implications with my students. I think I remembered just in time!
