I basically posted that if you are caught as an illegal immigrant in this country, you will be detained and then deported. If you are caught as an illegal in any of those other countries, you will be detained and deported.

The only "firm grasp" the OP had for that piece of astroturfing garbage was on his own meds.

Well illegal aliens usually come looking for jobs, at least in the USA. Can't speak to the situation in the UK. Frankly, the UK's definition of an illegal alien is narrower than ours so people we would consider to be here unlawfully might be considered refugees in the UK.

Everyone gets free healthcare in the UK. In the USA, even citizens are not entitled to that, so you're wrong on that.

Um, no. Some states print some documents in other languages, especially Spanish, driver's license exams, for example. Can't speak about the UK, though even if they print public documents in languages other than English, billions of pounds seems like an inflated estimate.

All who commented were in agreement (none were directly my "friends"). One of the comments was racist, so I commented that the person appears to be a racist, and if everyone accepts his racism as OK they're racists as well. I was told that it's not racist to want the laws enforced. When I pointed out that calling people of Afghan origin "dirt eating camel jockeys" is pretty much racism, I got the run around about enforcing laws, about military service, and about libs not understanding the real world. It's a sad world out there. My final comment invited all who felt the laws in those other countries were better, that I would help them pack to move. I ended by wondering if the police in Arizona were going to be pulling over white people to make sure they weren't Europeans with expired student or work visas. I no longer have that "friend".
