If you're careless and foolish like I am, you may have had the misfortune of reading the comments section of the Yahoo news AP headline threads. Sweet Mother of All That Is Unholy and Brain Damaged! Wingnuts galore, telling us we need to detonate an H-bomb on the floor of the Gulf of Mexico, and everything will be magically fixed!

Nothing like radioactive waste with a half-life of thousands of years contaminating our coastal waters in conjunction with the blobs of black goo, eh?

This is typical of the wingnuts, I suppose. Shortsighted 'solutions', with no follow-through by critically evaluating the potential consequences, and an unhealthy fetish with bombing the fuck out of things. In short, neocons and Palin groupies.
