Will Texas schools return to corporal punishment?

One Texas man leads the charge to bring back paddling as punishment in schools. WFAA reports

I grew up in the southwest, and corporal punishment was in place all through my school years.

1. It hasn't necessarily gone away
Some districts in this state still use the board, although it's not like it was when I attended school. The district I work for thankfully does not use corporal punishment.
