just had a call from Newtie's organization bashing Obama
after a recorded message from Newtie saying how Raygun cut taxes and all some woman came back on with a question about Obama's radical agenda to raise taxes.
I responded that Newtie had the history all wrong. Reagan was the biggest tax raiser in history. Why did she think VP Bush ran on a 'no new taxes' platform? Besides, Obama has stated that the richest 1% will have their taxes raised, not the middle class. I told her to check out that middle class taxes have actually gone down under Obama.
Then I started railing about hiow Reagan, Bush and Bush ran up $11T of our deficit ........
She tried to hang up. I offered to debate Gingerich any place, any time.
She said goodbye again. I said, lady it is time to grow up, leave that fantasy world and find out for yourself what really happened.
She just hung up. No final good bye.

I love playing with these people.

5. Highly unlikely. Companies run these things. On both sides.

7. When responding to a political poll...
...one need not keep anything in mind other than the messaging that is being presented. Tough beans if the caller has a thin skin to go with their thick head.

6. How rude of her!
They call you with this specious pitch for money, and then, before you can whip out your checkbook to ask how much, and after a couple of pertinent questions, they just hang up? Didn't their parents teach them any manners at all?

Oh, they're Republicans? That explains it. And as for how down on her luck the operator might be, having to take this job? I think I'd dig ditches in North Dakota in February before I'd work the phones for Republicans.

10. Newt to me represents everything that is wrong with humanity. He personally is
such a repulsive pig, I can not understand people who actually believe him.
I am very happy to hear how this went, and I hope you are one of many who tell his idiot followers the truth...He certainly does not.
Rec.

11. I somehow got on their call list also
It was when I opened a new office and I assumed it was because I had gotten a new business telephone line, so as a "small business" they thought I would be down with the Newt. There is no other way I could have gotten on any Newtie list that I can think of. Needless to say after that first call, I'm guessing I am off the list.
