Elisabeth Hasselbeck SLAMS Erin Andrews' Clothing, Excuses Stalker
Edited on Wed May-05-10 09:00 AM by Are_grits_groceries
Erin Andrews‘s waltz on Monday with her Dancing with the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was her “best dance yet,” according to judge Bruno Tonioli. But when the ESPN sportscaster found herself the topic of discussion on The View Tuesday morning, she was none too pleased.

Host Elisabeth Hasselbeck criticized Andrews — who has faced two separate stalking incidents in the past year — for dressing inappropriately on Dancing.

“In light of what happened and as a legal — and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room,” Hasselbeck said. “I mean, in some way if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man! I just could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this — a little bit less — without the prison time!’”

In March, a man was sentenced to federal prison for filming Andrews through a hotel peephole and posting nude video of her on the Internet. In April, after beginning her stint on Dancing, Andrews received emailed death threats.

Following the DWTS results show Tuesday night, Andrews told PEOPLE Hasselbeck’s remarks were “a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators.”

Andrews, who was “very shocked” about the comments, continued: “The thing that I was most upset about is I felt she was mocking a situation,” she said. “As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.” –

This is ignorance personified. Stalkers are dangerous psychopaths, and one of the scariest things that could ever happen to you.
Littlebits needs to apologize, and "The View" needs to do a segment on stalking so that people know how serious and dangerous it is.
I am appalled, but not surprised.

1. Yeah, getting spied on when you are in your hotel room is so the same as choosing to dance
on tv by your own choice in what you want people to see. But Hasselbeck always was an idiot.

2. Dressing inappropriately to dance on TV? Is EH insane? I guess
EH expects the women to dance athletically in burkas.

EH must really be about 150 years old, with Victorian attitudes like hers.

3. Erin Andrews is still having problems,
and she probably always will. Psychologically he did a real number on her. She admitted that when she is doing her sportscasting from the sidelines or at BB games, that she is wary and uncomfortable. A couple of times I have seen it a little. Before, she was much more open.

She may have to eventually move into the studio and do anchor work. That would devastate her in a way, but mentally she may have to make that move.

11. It's terrible that Andrews has to back off like this because
of threats, fear, and vigilance. I hope that time will help solve this problem for her, that the crazies will be caught or change. It is a real tragedy for her and her career. That douchbag's prison sentence wasn't enough IMO, and FUX News needs to be hammered legally on it also.

5. Huh! If it were up to me, the door would be slamming EH's butt on her way out.
To bring up the stalking/peeping/filming! incidents in the context of what Erin wore is totally wrong, regardless of the merits of her opinion about how Erin was dressed.

13. I know! The crack up is, Erin has really been the most covered of the
stars. I spent several moments worrying about possible wardrobe malfunctions on the part of Pam Anderson. Apparently, anything less than a robe and slippers is too little for EH.

9. EH is a moron!! I guess she thinks all women ask for it. I am sure she will be
apologizing profusely today. She was sure to offend her female audience with this ignorance.

14. ********FLASH ********UPDATE** She just did a break down crying apology on The View
B'lieve me, I am NO fan of hers and this is not to esculpate her. Just summarizing:

I walked in after she started, was blubbering uncontrollably, said she ended up hurting the victim, was telling her FIVE year old about it, "Mommy hurt somebody," and they prayed and the girl said, "Why don't you just call her and say you're sorry?!1" So she did. HummKAY!1

Afterwards, Joy said, "What about all the years you turned ON ME?!1" BwahHAH. But they all joined in about how they all "make a lot of mistakes on this show." HummmmKAY!1

15. She'll continue doing this till she's shown the door
It increases ratings.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Erin Andrews encounters Hasselbeck's husband Tim, who's a football analyst for ESPN. Andrews is in the middle of negotiating a contract extension, and much more popular than either Hasselbeck will ever be.

Anyone that can do a Google search can see multiple photos of Hasselbeck's cleavage, and on more than one occasion.

It's unfortunate that Barbara Walters will turn a blind eye to this. Stalking is no joke, and no, one doesn't "ask for it".

17. But Elisabeth Hasselbeck is
nothing if not ignorant. She displays her ignorance every day on The View.

My wife watches The View. I can hardly take it. Barbara Walters is nearly as ignorant as Hasselbeck. It's a cesspool of ignorance.

Barbara Walters: "Rush Limbaugh is a fascinating man." :puke:

There is a Youtube clip of the ladies of The View talking about the teaching evolution vs creationism. Severe ignorance on display for all to see. Even Whoopi and Joy sound pretty stupid and obviously know very little about the subject.
