Need help for a speech I'm going to be giving on Sarah Palin.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this (if not, feel free to move it MODs), but for my speech class I have been given the topic of Sarah Palin. I don't know what my teacher's question will be in relation to the topic, and I won't know until the day of the speech. However, I was wondering if any DUers had found any interesting articles on the half-governor of late? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've searched on Google for recent articles, but there aren't many besides news of her recent speech.

9. Don't forget to remind eveyrone that she was elected by the people of
Alaska and quit her job before finishing it. She is a quitter. She is a liar and she is hateful. She also is not very well educated. A few colleges here and there but nothing significant. She is no mental giant.

10. BEST site to learn
all about Palin is here:

http://palingates.blogspot.com/

Go to right hand column, and see all of the "gates." Good luck - keeping track of her lies and shennanigans is hard to do. She is a liar, a fraud and a grifter - not to mention the greatest HOAX of American politics.

11. You don't need to write a speech at all.
Just memorize a few talking points, wink a lot and punctuate everything you say with "Doggone it!" and "You betcha!" Oh, and don't forget to ask your teacher beforehand if you can call him Joe.

13. Just wondering ...
do you know how your teacher feels about Palin and if that teacher might not be open to anything not pro Palin or even anti Palin?

14. He's definitely a liberal.
But he will listen to any points as long as your speech is structured well and you back up your statements with interesting facts/opinions from articles. Clearly, I won't be giving a pro-Palin speech.

16. You could concentrate on the interviews that she gave as a candidate

These were unscripted and provide a more authentic source of what she thinks as opposed to people writing her speaches.

You will be amazed at how little there is there.

For example as your listeners to consider Katie Couric's question about what she reads in which she essentially can't answer the question specifically and says "I read all of them", obviously not having a clue what to say.

To understand how increadibly vacuous this is you have to remember that she MAJORED in journalism and communications at the U of I.

In otherwords KC asked her the easiest question in the field she studied. It would be as if someone asked someone who majored in political science who their favorite President was, or someone in biology what thier favorite species was.

During the campaign she revealed herself as someone who doesn't think but believes. This is why some people are so drawn to her. They want her to reaffirm that they don't have to think about serious issue only have a strong belief about them.
