1. Even They Screwed Up...
Remember the plans around the '93 WTC bombings...and how they messed up other attacks they had planned and showed a lot of cards. There are many groups who could have pulled this off as well as a lone wolf...thus I'll wait to hear what the FBI comes up with.

As long as we're flinging tin foil around...this incident brings to mind a bombing in Times Square in March, 2008. It happened at 4am...even was caught on local security cams...but IRC no one was ever caught...

2. I remember that. There was also a short series of bank explosions in
the Northwest a couple of years ago.

You could argue that those were terrorist attacks, but I tend to see them and most likely this as criminal acts.

6. It could be anyone

We have to realize that members of an organization like al qaeda are not all bomb experts nor do they always wait for orders from others. Also we have our share of "nut cases" who may act up.
the point is maybe some good citizen may have seen something that will help to solve the mystery of who did this;hopefully before they try to strike again!

3. I dunno. Al-Qaeda has embarrassed itself lately. The "Christmas bomber" failed miserably.

The fool burned up his penis & balls via his specially-designed "explosive underwear", got pummeled by his fellow passengers, and is now singing like a songbird to federal authorities about his mentor, the American-born Al-Qaeda operative who is now in hiding in Yemen from President Obama's "capture or kill" order.

4. Yeah. AQ is more competent.
Fireworks and propane bottles? Yes, propane bottles, if rigged up with a device to open the nozzles and ignite the fumes (Precise timing required) you can get a very powerful fuel-air bomb. In a confined space you can even get a powerful barometric-bomb effect. But fireworks sitting beside a propane bottle won't do much of anything.

8. I think it if a right wing nut job.
One of those idiots running around with the tea bags or militia groups. Remember the guy who set the bombs off at the Olympics in the south. So we have nuts who are not international terrorist but homegrown.

And when they are caught and this time there is too much evidence not to catch them, they press will fluff over the fact that they are right wing like they did the guy who flew the airplane in to the IRS building.

11. Sparklers burn at 1800° Fahrenheit (982° C).
Hot enough to ignite thermite. Just sayin'.
