(c) 2007, The Washington Post
WASHINGTON — A Washington Post article about negotiations between
President Bush and congressional Democrats over a war spending bill
said the Democrats offered the first major concession by dropping
their demand that it include a deadline to bring troops home from
Iraq. While Democrats are no longer pushing a firm date for troop
withdrawals, party leaders did not specifically make that concession
during a Wednesday meeting with Bush at the White House.

1. This of course would end up on
PAGE 30 in the paper.. up to their old tricks again.. this is the trick they used to push Bush all these years, and they'd sort of dropped the ball on this one..

Make a Claim, Publish it on the first page, retract it on the last page, a week later..

Usually it was FOR Bush, now they're using it against the dems.

2. Thank you for this!
I thought I heard on CNN that the "Democrats have blinked" and tried, unsuccessfully, to find something that alluded to the CNN 'talking points' about the Dems giving bush exactly what he wants but could not. Thank you!
