Buy only what we need and forget the rest of it
Edited on Fri Apr-30-10 11:49 AM by CountAllVotes
words to my old husband as he was going out the door to have one of his remaining 10 teeth filled. Poor guy.

All of his teeth have about dropped out and the cost for dentures is astronomical. He doesn't want to have the few pulled that are left because he is plain scared, not that I blame him and the cost is even scarier IMO. :(

Many health problems around here and wow, the $$$ that aren't covered by insurance are eating us up alive.

So the mantra now is "buy ONLY what we need and forget the rest of it".

:argh:

1. What? Mindful consumerism? Are you crazy or something?
America runs on mindless consumerism and buying tons of unneeded or useless crap. It's how we know we're free!

Seriously, though, I've been through several thousand dollars' worth of dental work in the past couple of years after literally decades of neglect. It's kind of early, but I count the money spent as totally worth it, as bad teeth lead to so many other health complications. Good luck to you and yours, and take care of it bit by bit.
