I'm PISSED!
Edited on Fri Apr-30-10 08:21 AM by Lochloosa
This was my playground growing up.

I learned how to fish off-shore from my Grandfather, a Charter Boat Captain.

I learned to drive at the age of 10 on the beaches of Fort Pickens State Park. (yes, you could drive on the beaches back then)

I learned to play  at Gulf Shores, Panama City Beach, Navarra Beach, Pensacola Beach etc.

This area of FL, GA, AL and LA have some of the most beautiful, mysterious and productive seashore in the world.

I am losing part of my soul.

16. I love that place....
www.juanaspagodas.com/

Destin is too touristy for me, I live in between Destin and Navarre. Been here 21 years and thinking about what our immediate and long term future will be/look like saddens me greatly!!

9. It's Navarre & Navarre Beach. I spent 15 years in P'cola and completeley agree....
... one could go to Dauphin Island not too far west (about 30-40 mi.) where oil rigs were visible from the beach and step on tar balls regularly. The beaches there were just as white and the water comparable, but there were tarballs and drilling mud on Dauphin Isle that were NOT on present from Gulf Shores eastward.

6. I keep trying to make people see the big picture.
Funny, it's just how I described it to them. The complete destruction of their way of life. I am sad.

12. Lochloosa, we are Kindred Spirits
I first went to Pensacola when I was 12.
I have returned five times since...

The most recent I ate (to over fill) Mud Bugs and ran Naked with my GF on a tiny little beach undoubtedly about to be ruined in the next few days.

this is (another) hole in my heart about that magical place.

21. Being LandLocked
ALL beaches are Beautiful to me... thinking about it, that sand is of a finer grit than others...

What really pisses me off is the crazed conservatives are trying to spread the rumor that the rig was sabotaged... YES it is true they think "Librurls" blew it up to end Of shore drilling... "and stupid enough to create a disaster of this magnitude."

FUCK!!! will their lies ever stop?

This Bullshit propaganda needs to be exposed.
