Jindal claims Feds are ignoring his requests for help/information about spill.
Gov. Bobby Jindal said he's repeatedly asked for but has not received information about oil spill cleanup plans to be launched by the federal government and the company in charge of cleaning the slick in the Gulf of Mexico.
"I've asked several times over the last few days for a detailed plan in terms of a quantifiable number of people and resources that will be deployed to help clean up and protect our coast. We haven't gotten those plans yet," the governor said Thursday.

State lawmakers complained Thursday about the federal response to the vast spill, which was closing in on the coast Thursday.

1. Oil spills? Why, there's no NEED to monitor oil spills. They're like,
you know, volcanoes.

11. Ding ding
How's that stall baby stall thingy going for yah Bobby!!
Wasn't Sarah all dressed in red earlier this month should action drill baby drill!!

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin urged Republican senators not to "take the bait" and said the president was simply trying to shift focus away from new environmental regulations and the revival of costly global warming legislation in the Senate.

"Instead of 'drill baby drill,' " she said, echoing her battle cry as a 2008 vice presidential candidate, "the more you look at this, the more you realize, it's 'stall, baby, stall.'" Writing in the National Review Online, Palin scoffed at Obama's announcement that he would "consider" development off the Atlantic coast and study areas in the Arctic. "I've seen plenty of such studies. What we need is action," she said.

Fuck you Bobby!!

14. Hi, malaise. And how much more surreal can it get when Sarah
Palin is talking about the environment and energy needs?

Who made her an expert on either topic? Damned if I know.

Jindal will have to begin to understand how the game is played in the big stadium. He wouldn't be there if George W. Bush had been a real president and a true citizen to the human beings who live in towns along the Gulf Coast when Katrina struck. Jindal is the political detritus that washed ashore in the vacuum left when Bush abandoned those citizens.

He needs to learn that things are tied together. THIS president won't abandon Jindal's citizens the way Bush abandoned the same citizens a few years back.

3. Maybe because plans are still being formulated, and the spill-
size, location, direction it's going-changes frequently?

I understand his concern but he needs to hold his horses until the feds figure out what is going to be done, or what CAN be done.

I wonder if Jindal has contacted BP or Halliburton to ask what they're doing?

4. If they're ignoring him, why have I heard about it on every damn channel in
my livingroom? Maybe he's just being a PIA! Tell him to watch the news & he's hear the plans.

6. I thought these Republicans were the "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps" type of folks.

If that is so, what happened to Bobby Jindal? Isn't crying out for federal aid (especially to Mr. Obama) weak in the eyes of the GOP?

Tsk. Tsk.

7. The White House should dispatch a good horse lawyer to Louisiana
to assist Governor Jindal.

Or a poultry lawyer. Bartering is big in the GOP, I heard.

15. Bobby: Americans and America don't care about Louisiana or Louisianians. There is no difference
because Barrack Obama is president. In the next hurricane the response will be the same as Katrina, just like this response. It's amazing when people think for even a second that Americans would ever care about us.

20. Let's not wish for a Category 4 or 5 storm to strike the Gulf Coast or
anyplace else.

If one does I bet you hard cash a President Obama's response is wildly, comprehensively more effective, more compassionate, and more citizen-directed than that smarmy asshole who preceded him in the White House.

16. how would updating that moron help things?
They should just phone Jindal once, to tell the idiot to stay out of the way while the Federal government solves the problem that Jindal is too stupid to deal with.

19. Why would they include him?
Jindal is a verbose talking point-o-matic. For him, this is just another photo op for his presidental campaign.

If they included him, Jindal would just posture and nothing would get done.
