60,000 baby bibs recalled for lead content in the paint!
More than 60,000 bibs were recalled because of dangerously high lead counts. The toxic bibs made in Communist China were only discovered when a vigilant grandmother tested the bibs with a home lead test kit. We’ll report on the U.S. government’s continued failure to stop dangerous products making their way to U.S. consumers.

This a snip from an email I received from Lou Dobbs highlighting his show for today.

Truthfully, I have NO IDEA what Fed. Dept. should have tested these bibs. I suspect it's the same group that tests toys. Yet another demonstration of how Shrub's Gov't fails at everything!

1. I read here somewhere that their cheap dishtowels are also dangerous
Something about the dyes used for the colorful patterns on the towels. Maybe they contain lead, too.

7. And had just purchased about 4 new towels from a dollar store
So cute and colorful. And now I learn that they're probably deadly.

I remember that it's supposed to be the colorful towels made in China that also fade quickly after several washings. Exactly what I bought. Pfui.

2. Not surprisingly MADE IN CHINA
Ain't W's notion of free and unfettered trade just great???

Since absence of evidence is not evidence of absence we should probably assume this is a terrorist chemical attack by Al Queda in China on our babies. We are not fighting them THERE so they are free to fight us HERE.

6. Toys have lead paint too
I just found that out last week during Teresa's blog tour. I had no idea and my daughter's house is full of toys from China. Even quality brands like Melissa & Doug, are made in China. I am furious about this. Apple juice comes from China too. That baby in Atlanta drank apple juice. Wonder about that now too.

9. Seems like a handy person could make a business out of making toys
I'm thinking of small toys made of wood. I bet someone could do that and sell them in an Etsy shop online. Safe wood and safely painted toys for toddlers.
