Arizona May Create Home-Grown Security Force - State Militia

Manned by citizen volunteers and deployed by the governor to deal with emergencies.

Could Bush get his grubby paws on this group if he declared martial law?

1. Under Title 10 of the United States Code...
the "unorganized militia" consists of all able-bodied males aged 17-45, so theoretically I suppose the answer is yes.

2. No potential for mischief there, nah
Legitimizing the Minutemen? I predict more than a few shooting incidents involving volunteer freepers and immigrants, legal and illegal. Very easy for a group like this to get out of control. I suggest all Arizona DU'ers volunteer for service in this organization to maintain a semblance of sanity.

5. The idea came from AaRep. state senator. I'm trying to think of emergencies
that could hit this state. Hurricanes - don't think so! An earthquake - possibly; Fire - yes; - An invasion from Mexico - what do you think?

6. Sounds like the Second American Revolutionary War will be starting soon!!
Americans will be seeking their Independence from the tyrannical, imperialistic Washington, D.C. beltway governance.

8. When HE has the military industrial complex, corporate america........
and wall street funding HIS campaign of social, economic and political terror, 'WE' begin to understand how a totally dysfunctional, incompetent idiot can become empowered; it is amazing and unbelievable.
