Did a large donor bailout Freeperville?
Edited on Wed Apr-28-10 04:46 AM by Union Yes
FR went from stuck at 38% TO 81% of their fundraising goal almost overnight

After being stuck in the 30% range for many days it finally hit 38% yesterday. Now it's 81%.

Did a donor bail out rimjob out of pity with a large donation?

DU finishes it's fundraisers in what 7-ish days or so.

FR was over a month already.

1. Maybe Regnery did it
With all the money they got from the Heritage Foundation to prop up all those right-wing tomes of wisdom.

2. Every time freeper ville has a fund raiser it goes on forever with very few making
contributions until the last week or so and out of no where money pours in from unknown sources. Lets get real freeper ville is astro turffed just like the tea party, it's not a bastion of conservatives as they claim someone with lots of money props them up to make it seem like a major blog of concerned conservatives. I wonder just how many actual members they have as I have a feeling its a few posters with many sign in names. When they had their big freeper protest only a few people showed up to hold hands with rim job, that really made me wonder.

8. I think that their wackery caused them to lose a lot of members.
After Pres. Obama was elected they attacked the posters who weren't birther or bagger supporters.

6. Hannity used to talk up Free Republic on the air pretty regularly.
In fact I recall him or another FOX New host interviewing Kristen (sp?) from FR from time to time.

It wouldn't surprise me if people like Rush or Hannity dump a bunch of money into FR at times as the freeper types probably make up about 95% of either host's audience.
