Convert Laura INGRAHAM eschews Catholic social justice, treating staff toAZ spa weekends
Edited on Tue Apr-27-10 07:38 PM by UTUSN

She's subbing for O'LOOFAH, raked the Hispanic congressman calling for a boycott of AZ similar to the one over AZ's past denial of MLK Day.

Then she told the next guest, a fellow wingnut, that she is considering treating her staff to weekends at some of AZ's "fabulous spas" as her token defiance of whatever boycotts.

Whenever there is something-that-does-not-compute or things-that-make-you-go-HUH?!1, these eternal type questions tend to gnaw no matter what the specific, current issue is. Examples, like Eternal Question: Why would *any* minority---women, Gay, Hispanic, Black, Asian---ever vote for Rethugism?!1

With INGRAHAM, who converted to Catholicism after years of boozing, Gay-bashing, gun threats at ex-lovers, etc., one of the questions is: Since she has shown NO diminution of vituperation and bile and verbal savagery, and on social justice issues like the current one in AZ, NO "Christianity": what spirituality did her vaunted conversion bring?

And, to the Catholic church that HAS had some moral impact in social justice (while failing miserably in other areas), what do the high profile converts in recent years say: INGRAHAM, the late NOVAKula, the many spooks, etc.?!1

1. Makes sense. The Jim Crow state sounds like the perfect place for her.

4. Oh, yeah, the list is long. Here's what I sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor:
Political right winger Laura INGRAHAM supposedly converted to Catholicism a few years ago and benefits your sisterhood with sales of crucifixes, yet, since her conversion has shown NO spirituality in her public career: Continuing her un-Christian vituperation against persons she disagrees with, showing NO understanding of social justice issues the Church HAS a good history on, and generally exhibiting spiteful personal chracteristics. Most recently, she said she will support the anti-Hispanic state law in Arizona by defying economic boycotts set by social justice advocates. What does your sisterhood stand for, since she apparently finds affiliation with you? Does your sisterhood wield any influence on her to improve her spirituality?
