Lieberman tells CNN he is THE POWER BROKER!
Lieberman Sees Himself as a Power Broker

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) told CNN that it was a blessing to lose the Democratic Senate primary in 2006 and then run and win as an independent.

Said Lieberman: "It's put me in exactly the position I want to be in at this hyper-partisan, non-productive, divisive time in our politics... It gives me the latitude to try to be a bridge on a lot of different issues, to make things happen."

2. I thought Lieberman was made irrelevant
In the meantime, the next time he's up for reelection, I am writing checks to his opponent.

4. Yes, and we in CT basically have rewarded Joe with a 30% approval rating.
Too bad we can't recall the bastard. Hey, I voted for Lamont but many Dems and independents were sucked in along with the idiot Rethugs we have here. He won't win reelection here. I doubt he runs again. Go and hide in Stamford after retirement Joe. At least I live in northeast CT.

5. So, what are you brokering, Joe?
Right now, the choices are between doing something about a broken financial system and letting it continue to run amok, to the detriment of millions of Americans and the benefit of handful of well-connected cheaters. What's your solution? What are you facilitating? What's the bridge you're providing between the foxes and the henhouse?

Don't know why I'm even posting; I'm sure the Bulldogs of the Fourth Estate at CNN pinned Lieberman down on all these questions, right?

Oooh listen: Crickets!
