Concern about the new Arizona law: are hate groups declaring "Open Season"?

One of my friends brought up a tactic that could be used by hate groups when they go about beating up brown people, burning crosses on their lawns, acting like the violent hateful thugs that they are.

When harassing Latinos, all they have to do, when invading their homes, or assaulting and robbing them on the streets, is steal their identity papers. Take their drivers licenses, take their birth certificates, passports, anything that could conceivably identify them as a citizen.

Of course, when the victims of these assaults call the cops and the oh-so-not-racist deputies from Maricopa County respond, what's the first thing they're gonna do? Demand ID!

It's lose-lose for victims of hate crimes - not only do they get attacked by racist thugs, but they'll get arrested, jailed and possibly deported if they call the cops.

1. Definitely. Gun Rights > Human Rights in Arizona. For a reason.

The Minutemen and guncentric Teabagger groups see this as an opportunity to practice what they preach.
