Re: Iraq veto, should I bother to contact Lieberman?
I have already contacted the office of Sen. Dodd to ask him to send the same bill back to president Bush on Iraq funding. I also contacted the office of my current rep (Chris Murphy) and my old rep (Joe Courtney) about this same issue. I recently moved, so I consider both of them to be "my" reps.

But, should I even bother to contact Lieberman? I get the impression that while Bush said he's staying in Iraq if only Laura & Barney supported him, I think Lieberman is there with him until the bitter end, too.

1. Better to write a letter to the local paper.
Joe isn't looking out for you and me. He is only looking out for Joe.

2. Absolutely!
And when you do, make sure to start it off with a complaint how Lieberman keeps ignoring the wishes of the people he represents. :D

3. Yes, you should.
You are correct that Lieberman will continue to support Bush on this. But he still needs to hear from constituents who disagree. At very least, he won't be able to justify his position by saying "100% of calls to my office support the Iraq war."
